Setup Information for Quick Rate® and Maintenance Plan
Quick Rate® Software Setup Information
Technical Support is unlimited and free. We can do this because the software has been through extensive testing and found to be sound. You do not have to purchase a maintenance plan to be eligible for this support. Any errors or bugs found in the software you purchased will be fixed free and the update sent to you and all other owners of the current software package. We may elect to send the update via the internet but all customers will be notified! Please understand that errors in rates furnished by the carriers do not qualify as a bug in the software. However, under the maintenance plan these errors would also be fixed by Quick Rate Support. Errors from the carriers would primarily include incorrect rates as well as an incorrect text file format.
Maintenance Plan Setup Information
This plan covers all updates and changes to your carrier rates that may take place during a calendar year. This includes the annual rate updates as well as any additional carriers you may add during the year. If you elect to take this plan, you would instruct your carriers to send their text files to us. We would verify the correct file format and work with the carriers to correct any errors. Your new rates would be sent on a CD for you to load. The advantage of using the maintenance plan is your data will always be in the correct format. You will not have to go through the verification procedure necessary to ensure good data.
Keep in mind that Quick Rate is fully functional and updates can be handled entirely with the user. The plan is offered for those customers that do not want to update and maintain their truck rates themselves.
