Quick Rate®

Quick Rate has been completely redesigned internally with two different versions to better serve future clients. One version will work on stand alone computers as well as a server. The other version is on the .Net platform and is designed to run on servers such as MSSQL. Both versions use a single file database design as opposed to the old individual files or flat file design. This gives greater speed and reliability when searching for the lowest rate.
Because of feed back from current clients, some routines have been eliminated. The last year database is no longer an option since experience shows it was never used by any client for auditing and this frees up disk space. The customer database, product database, and bills of lading function have been removed. The storage of shipping cost information has been expanded as well as new reports added to help control costs.
Accessorial charges have been added to further improve accuracy of the final rate. The six charges that have been incorporated into the rate calculation are Lift Gate, Inside Delivery, Call Before Delivery, Construction Site Delivery, Residential Delivery, and Hazardous Material. All charges with the exception of Call Before Delivery can have a flat fee, cost per hundred weight, and a maximum fee added.
